Last Friday we celebrated our 100th anniversary with a party, during which we performed a spectacular baptism of the double tulip ‘White Centennial’ in honour of our anniversary. ‘White’ refers to both the colour of the tulip as well as our last name ‘De Wit’, which literally translates as ‘The White’ in English. ‘Centennial’ refers to the celebration of a 100^th anniversary. Unfortunately ‘White Centennial’ is not available in commercial quantities yet, but we expect that it will be a variety to watch in the coming years.
