These pictures show the creation of a new flower in the tulips through the microscope. At the moment we are checking all of the lots from our own nursery and our selected growers to see if the new flower has reached the correct stage. The pictures clearly show that the pestle, which is in the heart, has fully been formed as well as the six flower petals. This means that the flower is ready, which we call the G stage. Now we can start treating the bulbs at different temperatures, which allows us to make sure that the tulips flower on the date requested by our customers.
